Pedometer Pro
Your information

Privacy Policy

Effective September 27, 2026 · Pedometer Pro

Your activity stays on your device. Pedometer Pro does not send your Health or Motion activity data to the developer or an advertising service. You do not need an account.

Health and Motion access

With your permission, Pedometer Pro reads steps, walking and running distance, and flights climbed from Apple Health. It also uses Motion & Fitness data to update phone steps and available distance and floor information.

These values are processed on your device to display activity, history, goal progress, streaks, badges, and goal celebrations. The app does not write records to Apple Health. It does not request location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone access.

What is stored on your device

The app stores your daily goal, distance-unit preference, earned badges, best streak, and celebration history locally. It also keeps a display cache of activity history, recent totals, refresh information, and the values used to combine Health and Motion updates.

The Health-derived cache is excluded from device backups and uses iOS file protection for protection while the device is locked. iOS may remove this disposable cache; the app can rebuild it from the data you allow it to read. System backup and restore settings may separately affect app preferences.

No advertising or activity-data sharing

Pedometer Pro has no advertising, cross-app tracking, developer-operated activity server, or third-party analytics SDK. The developer does not receive your activity history through the app and does not sell or share it for advertising.

Apple Health storage and synchronization, App Store services, and system diagnostics are governed by Apple’s controls and privacy practices. If you participate in a TestFlight beta, Apple’s TestFlight service handles beta feedback and diagnostics.

Your choices and deletion

You can change Pedometer Pro’s read permissions in Apple Health or your device’s Health privacy settings. You can manage Motion & Fitness access in Settings → Privacy & Security → Motion & Fitness, where available.

Disabling a permission stops new access through that source, but does not automatically remove data already cached by the app. The two permissions are independent: one permitted source may continue providing data when the other is disabled.

To remove local app data, choose Delete App rather than Offload App. This does not delete your underlying Apple Health records; manage or delete those in Apple Health. Reinstalling and granting permission again can import history still available in Health. There is no developer-held activity account or server-side activity history to delete.

If you contact support

If you email goodmeatsoftware@gmail.com, we receive your email address and any information you choose to include. This is separate from the app’s automatic operation. We use correspondence to respond to requests, investigate problems, and meet applicable obligations. Email service providers process these messages.

Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed for these purposes and applicable legal obligations. You can request access to or deletion of your correspondence by emailing the same address, subject to applicable retention requirements. Please do not send passwords or full Health exports.

Children

Pedometer Pro is a general fitness utility, not a child-directed service. It does not ask users for their age or require a profile. If you believe a child has sent personal information to support, contact us so we can address it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or support practices change. The current policy and effective date will be available on this page. Any new data use requiring permission will require that permission before it begins.
